It's a Boy!

Lucas Ross Gille was born at 6:10pm. He weighed 7lbs 14oz and was 18.5in long. Baby and Mama are doing wonderfully. Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers. Pics to follow...

Speeding Up a Bit!

The doc decided to start the pitocin at about 1:00. Stronger and more frequent contractions have followed. Jamie's doing great. Starting to feel the contractions again, but nothing like they were before the epidural. I think the doc and nurse are hoping to get the baby out before their shift ends at 7:00. I know we're anxious!

Progressing Slowly

Thing are moving along slowly, but still no major action. Jamie is comfortable and resting. The doc has held off on adding any pitocin to this point, so we're just being patient.

At the Hospital!

Got to the hospital last night about 10:30. Jamie labored through the night. Got the epidural about 5:30am and is now very comfortable. Even slept for a bit. I'll keep you all posted!

38 weeks

We have made it to 38 weeks! Just some minor swelling (see my elephant feet below) and crampiness. Hurricane Earl did not send me into labor early, but I did have a minor freakout that I was leaking amniotic fluid. Turns out all is normal and progressing along and the baby could come any day now! Today at the dr's appointment the dr. was a little concerned about pre-eclampsia - so we did a few more tests. The non-stress test (?) was normal and the bloodwork is should be back soon to tell us everything is great. Other than that I am just going to relax and work on schoolwork!
